The benefits from having a Mixed Set of irons are that your long irons can be replaced with
more forgiving Hybrids to whatever loft you need and you can choose conventional irons for the rest of your set.
Utility clubs and Hybrids are a relatively recent addition to the golfer's arsenal of clubs. They are growing in popularity because they are designed to be easier to hit for recreational golfers. In fact, they are easier to hit for all golfers, and most touring pros now carry Hybrid!.
The terms "Utility Clubs" and "Hybrid Clubs" are generally used interchangeably. They denote a category of clubs that combine elements of both woods and irons into their design.

The first sole is traditional so you can hit down on the ball, the second one prevents digging. Avocet hybrids feature a radius bottom that allows the player to get the ball airborne from almost any lie or surface. The 19-degree Avocet emulates a driving iron, while the 23 and 26 degree clubs can substitute for a 3 or 4 iron at varying distances.
